The Chords Experiment

THE CHORD — the resolved readout of a DECLARED SPAN of notes read as ONE object: the exact tuple (span · member notes in address order · census multiset · schedule signature); it exists only after every member note resolves (the readout-after-resolve rule lifted from cells to spans). The macro question: which chord-grain identities are NOT member-derivable — the composed chord above all. MODEL-INTERNAL; every emergence word is register-2 (design §8a); the TRIPLED [R2] cut governs every future verdict.

THE OUTLINE SEALED 9fc76dd (design §§0–9, 2026-07-25) at THE PAUSE — the boundary UNMISSED; THE LINEAGE OPENED + THE BUILD PLANNED 4782fa5 (design §§10–11); the build landing CBI-1..CBI-5, each green before the next. THE CORPUS (STRICT, 'how'-shaped): THE INTERACTION · THE AGGREGATE · THE CLOCKS — names of kinds of knowing, never data; each obligated at CHX-P0 to one computable surface + an unknowing statement; a 'how' question is never itself a stake — it names a hypothesis FAMILY; only exact-identity cards land.

THE TERRITORY STANCE: every received pin is a gate, never a discovery; fresh value lives in fresh spans and fresh grain. THE COURTESY CORRIDOR: no chords read ever lands in [4416..8191] (NTX-A11's recorded window and its continuation) and [16384, 20480) stays whole to RIX-A36's seventh-era transect — granted beyond the letter and structural in the engine (corridor_clear).

CHX-L4 (§10.5, owned 2026-07-26): THE NOTES-SURFACE OMISSION — the deepest of the corrections: the audits never carried the notes record's own far reads (its pair census {8221, 8223} · {8233, 8235} · {8293, 8295} · {8431, 8433} + the flanks 8292/8430); the "far pair discoveries" and the "pairs-at-members pattern" were RECEIVED content (the notes pair census's own declared result — twelve oriented pairs, m − 1); the A1 surplus dies honestly (K₁ = 6 = tempo); K₄/K₆ stand; the agreement extends 38/38 byte-exact; the A4 seam completion STANDS (the whole motif was only ever measured within [4129..4340]); THE THREE-SURFACE INVENTORY is now the standing audit rule.
